Empowering Lives Through Affordable Prosthetics
At Navu, we are passionate about making a difference in people's lives. Our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable prosthetic knees that empower individuals to lead fulfilling and active lifestyles. We are dedicated to utilizing cutting-edge technology to enhance mobility and restore independence.
Modular by design
Components can be replaced individually, so clinics and users do not need to discard an entire knee when one part fails. This extends the life of each device and reduces both downtime and cost of ownership.
Off-the-shelf parts
NK Gen 1 uses readily available components wherever possible, simplifying manufacturing and repair. This makes it easier for technicians to service the knee and helps keep replacement parts affordable and accessible.
Locally manufacturable
By prioritising local production, NAVU reduces import duties, transport costs, and lead times. This allows clinics to serve more patients on the same budget while building local technical skills and jobs.
Smart material choices
While titanium is ideal but expensive, our engineering work shows that carefully selected aluminium alloys can deliver the required strength while remaining lightweight and significantly more cost-effective. This balance helps keep the device both durable and within reach financially.

Enhanced Mobility. Empowered Lives.
For many amputees, the choice is not between different high-end prosthetics — it is between a basic device that barely works or no prosthetic at all. NAVU’s goal is to change this equation by delivering a knee that is both well-performing and attainable.
A cost-effective, functional knee means more than just walking. It means being able to return to work or school, carry out daily tasks without constant pain or instability, and participate fully in family and community life. For health systems, it also means the ability to support up to ten times more patients on the same budget by replacing a single expensive device with multiple high-quality, affordable knees.
